A Practical PPE Compliance Checklist for Site Audits

A short, usable checklist EHS teams can run before an audit — covering issue, condition, and documentation.

Before any site audit, walk the floor with three questions: is the right PPE issued for each task, is it in usable condition, and is it documented. Check glove and helmet expiry, verify reflective tape hasn't degraded, and confirm certificates for critical categories like arc-flash and respiratory protection are on file. Most audit findings trace back to one of these three gaps rather than a missing policy.
